Privacy Policy
Clued is a lightweight leaderboard app for tracking daily puzzle results with friends and leagues. This policy explains what information Clued collects, why it is used, and how to request changes or deletion.
Information We Collect
Clued stores the information needed to run leaderboards and notifications: nickname, league memberships, puzzle dates, submitted boards, scores, times, comments, reactions, preferences, and settings.
If you turn on email notifications, Clued stores your notification email address. If you turn on push notifications, Clued stores push subscription data or an Apple or Google push notification service device token. Clued also uses cookies or local device identifiers to keep your player profile linked to your browser or app.
If you use the share flow, Clued processes the shared text you send so it can parse and preview a board.
How We Use Information
Clued uses this information to display leaderboards, calculate stats, manage leagues, sync your devices, send requested notifications, prevent duplicate or incorrect submissions, and keep the app working reliably.
Sharing
Leaderboard entries, nicknames, comments, and reactions may be visible to other people in the relevant league or public leaderboard. Clued does not sell personal information.
Clued may use service providers for hosting, email delivery, web push, Apple or Google push notifications, and operational infrastructure. These providers process information only as needed to provide the app.
Retention And Deletion
Clued keeps information while it is needed for leaderboards, account/device linking, notifications, and app operations. You can request deletion of your player profile, notification data, submissions, comments, and league memberships from the Data Deletion page.
Children
Clued is not directed to children under 13. Do not use Clued if you are under 13.
