Clued is a lightweight way to track daily Clues by Sam results with friends, play competitively, and raise the stakes.

How do I join a league?

Leagues are friend groups with their own private leaderboard.

Tap Join (in the menu) to enter one of those leagues.

You need a valid invite code to use the Join menu.

Is it free?

Yes. Free covers everyday play with friends.

Free includes the most recent 30 days of scorecards, up to 3 joined leagues, and 1 managed league.

Plus is $0.49/mo or $4.99/yr and keeps the past month of scorecards, adds data export, up to 10 joined leagues, and up to 3 managed leagues.

Pro is $0.79/mo or $7.99/yr and adds forever history, historical entries, data export, unlimited leagues, and priority support.

How do I invite friends?

Tap Invite on the leaderboard to copy your league link and send it to friends.

Once they join, everyone appears on the same leaderboard and can get notifications for new submissions.

What does my score mean?

Your score reflects solve quality and speed. Higher is better.

The emoji next to your score is your performance tier:

What do the other symbols mean?

Hey! Why didn't this count as my new fastest time?

Fastest-time records only count perfect boards. If the run had a mistake or any hints, it will not register as a fastest time.

Do my scores have to be on the global leaderboard?

No. Turn on Private in Settings. Private players are hidden from the global leaderboard.

You will still show up in your leagues with friends.

What other settings can I change?

You can update your nickname, set your profile to private, toggle Spoiler Protection, pick your default leaderboard, and manage notification preferences.

Do you have a mobile app?

A native iOS app is in development and coming soon to TestFlight / the App Store. An Android app may follow.

In the meantime, Clued runs as a PWA (Progressive Web App) — you can use it directly in mobile and desktop browsers, no install required, or add it to your home screen for an app-like experience.

A PWA is a website you can install to your home screen so it opens like an app.

Biggest benefit of installing as a PWA today: push notifications are more reliable, so you are more likely to get alerts when someone posts a new result.

iPhone: open in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen.

Android: open in Chrome, tap the menu, then Install app or Add to Home Screen.

What if I only access Clued on the web?

No problem. You can use Clued in both mobile and desktop browsers and rely on email notifications.

Add your email in Settings, then turn on email notifications for the leagues you care about.

Are you affiliated with Clues by Sam?

No. I am just a fan of the game. I built this app independently for myself, friends, and family, and added extra features that help us play competitively and track results.
